FEES for the 2017 ROLLAND FIDDLE CAMP


The camp fee is $360** per participant ($335 for tuition plus a $25 registration fee).

Special notes:

  • Students under 18 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by an adult guardian. Guardians who participate in the classes pay tuition, and guardians who observe but do not participate other than to record lessons or take notes for their student pay a reduced fee of $100.
  • If you bring children who are not students, they must be under your supervision at all times, because we cannot be responsible for them. 

 

 REGISTRATION INFORMATION 

  • Camp enrollment is limited and we expect the camp to fill up.  We encourage you to apply as early as possible.
  • **Custer County residents receive a 50% discount on tuition fees.  This is part of our community outreach program, and a thank-you for the use of the school.  Additionally, single-day attendance is available to residents for $40 as long as you sign up before June 25th.  Call 602-618-6285 to make last-minute arrangements, otherwise use the registration process below and the payment button at the bottom.  No drop-ins, please.

  • If you have any questions, please send an email to RFC@peterrolland.com (preferred), or contact us by phone at 602-618-6285. We'll respond as quickly as possible.

  • Fill out the application form below and either mail it to us along with your payment in full or deposit by regular mail or submit them online (see below). 
  • Sign the release form.  Everyone in your group must sign.  Parents or legal guardians can sign for minor children.
  •  Payment of camp fees or deposits may be made by check or by credit card although we encourage you to use the regular mail option, as long as we can receive it by May 26th, 2017.  If paying by check, please make the check payable to ROLLAND FIDDLE CAMP.  Our mailing address is:

If you are applying after that date, send all registration payments and correspondence by email and electronically.  To make a credit card payment, go to the bottom of this page and click on the "Buy Now" button just below where it says "MAKE A PAYMENT HERE".  This takes you to a PayPal payment page where you can use a credit card to make a payment.


  •  There is a $150 deposit per person.  Your spot at camp isn't reserved until your deposit is accepted. Your deposit is non-refundable after we notify you that your application has been accepted. (Exceptions are noted below.*)

  • Payments and the application can be sent separately.  Full payment by check can be made anytime before 5/26/2017.  Full payment by credit card can be made anytime before 6/19/2017.  Payments after 6/18/2017 require prior authorization; send an email with your request to RFC@peterrolland.com.  You could also try calling 602-618-6285 but send an email anyway, because phone reception in the mountains is spotty.

  • If camp is full when we receive your application, we will notify you and place your name on a waiting list.  If space is not available and you would like us to return your deposit instead of putting you on a waiting list, please indicate that on the application page.

  • All fees need to be received by RFC on or before 6/18/2017.  If we have not received your payment in full by then, your registration can be canceled and you could lose your deposit.*             

             *Exception 1: if you cancel and the camp fills up anyway, we will retain a $25

               processing fee per person in your group and return the rest of your deposit to you.

             *Exception 2: if you have paid a deposit and RFC has not received your payment in full

               on or before 6/18/2017, then we can give your spot to another student.  If the camp does

               not fill up, we will keep your deposit.  If the camp fills up, we will retain a $25

               processing fee per person in your group and return the rest of your deposit to you.


  • If you want to apply for camp after 6/18/2017, please send an email to Peter Rolland at RFC@peterrolland.com to see if it can still be arranged.  You could also try calling 602-618-6285 but send an email anyway, because phone reception in the mountains is spotty.  We may be in transit at that time, and communication might be delayed.

 APPLICATION FORM

To apply to the camp, please send us an email, or a letter in the mail, with the following information:
1) Your name and age, or if you are applying for more than one person in a family, all the names and ages of the people that you are applying for, and what instruments you wish to study at camp;
2) Your contact information: mailing address, telephone number, cell number, email address, and website if you have one;
3) What instrument(s) do you want to study at camp?
4) Please tell us anything about yourselves that will help us to help you at camp.  For example, are you a beginning player, a novice, intermediate, advanced or professional player; are you a classically trained string player or string teacher; can you read music? etc.
5) What would you like to learn at camp?  Are there particular fiddle styles a/o techniques that you would you like to concentrate on at camp; are there particular tunes you would like to learn; how long have you played the fiddle a/o violin or viola; will you bring a second instrument to play at camp and if so, which?
6) It's not required, but we would find it very helpful if you are able to send us a jpeg of yourself.
7) For each person in your family group, tell us about any health condition or dietary restriction that you think we should know about in advance of camp. 
8) Copy the "Participant's release form and indemnity agreement, photo release and compliance clause" below from beginning to end, and write a note saying that you agree to all of the statements (this is required).
We will need a signed and dated copy of this release form when you arrive at camp, unless you mail it to us by snail mail.

I am and each person named in this application is physically able to participate in Rolland Fiddle Camp activities as described in the Rolland Fiddle Camp website. Furthermore, I agree and each person named in this application acknowledges that by submitting this application, I (we) agree to the following:
·    to assume all risk of personal injury and property loss or damage;
·    to provide my (our) own individual insurance carrier for any personal injury sustained during their participation at Rolland Fiddle Camp;
·    that neither Peter Rolland & Associates, L.L.C., Rolland Fiddle Camp, Peter Rolland, nor any of the camp staff or teachers shall be held liable or in any way responsible for theft, damage or loss of registrant's personal property or for injuries to anyone during the camp;
·    to indemnify the above listed persons and entities, their successors, heirs and assigns, and hold them harmless from any such theft, damage, loss, injuries or other liabilities incurred during participation in the camp and related activities, including costs of litigation and attorney fees;
·   to reimburse the Custer County School for any damage caused by any person named in this application.
·   to comply with all Custer County School regulations including: no alcohol allowed on the premises and no smoking in any buildings; all posted Rolland Fiddle Camp regulations; all local, state and federal civil and criminal laws, and not behave in a manner detrimental to the proper functioning of camp or to the reputation of Rolland Fiddle Camp, it's teachers or staff. Registrant understands and agrees that non-compliance may result in dismissal from camp and forfeiture of fees.
·   to allow Rolland Fiddle Camp to use photographs and/or videos of camp classes and activities that include me or children in my care for promotion of future camps and to place them in the camp online photo album.
